About
Hi! My name is Junya, and I'm someone who really likes playing around with stuff on computers, or so they say.
The barebones look on this website is intentional.
In the past I have developed small games, written tiny but useful utility programs, and organised hackathons in Europe. Feel free to check some of them out in the Projects section. Oh, and I also really like Java. Really, really like Java. You should look at some of my Minecraft mods!
I like travelling and exploring what the world has to offer, attending hackathons at GitHub HQ in San Francisco and Zhejiang Lakeside University in Hangzhou, and experiencing transit.
I'm currently a 1st year student at Aberystwyth University doing a BSc in Computer Science.
Projects
Here is some stuff I've worked on.
-
Flourish
4th April 2025The first game I've ever created - a languageless exploration game featuring different seasons that the player adventures through, with a harvesting and planting system similar to Stardew Valley. Available on Itch, may be released on Steam in the future. Demonstrated at a pop-up cafe in Shanghai 4-11 April.
-
Arsenal and Anvil
31st May 2025Probably the first decent Minecraft mod I've made. A basic 'Quality of Life' modification that adds a variety of new weapon and tool types in Minecraft. Not the most proud of it, the codebase is very messy and hardcoded, but it does the job for what I wanted to achieve at the time.
-
warp-tui
2nd December 2025A terminal user interface wrapper for Cloudflare warp-cli built using Python Textual. This was also my first time interacting with Python Packaging and making the program more accessible online. The codebase is also incredibly messy and not workable for future additions. Partly inspired by nmtui, as every day at school I would have to connect to Cloudflare WARP and would get tired of manually typing out warp-cli commands trying to battle the network's web filtering systems.
-
fsa-maps
23rd December 2025A simple web application that visualises UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) food hygiene ratings on an interactive map. This was my first time playing around with FastAPI and trying to optimise things like rendering so many waypoints at a zoom level.
-
JobScape
9th April 2026The worst Minecraft mod I've ever created. If you play this, you are under the age of 20.
-
Unfaircraft
22nd July 2025Minecraft, but unfair. No further comment - this is a "see for yourself".
-
Jumper
31st August 2025No, this is not the Geometry Dash level, but there is indeed a lot of jumping involved. A swiftly-developed endless platform game that was kind of inspired by the offline Google dinosaur game. The game has synchronisation issues and therefore your gameplay may vary depending on your hardware specifications and device's resolution, and platforms are randomly generated with no bias therefore some jumps are physically impossible. But it's still fun to play in school!
-
Firehose
10th January 2026Discord-style moderation tooling, now on Slack. See my contributions.
-
Pathed
6th May 2026And now today! This Minecraft mod is still being worked on, but my vision was Origin x Minecraft tool progression reworked.
